What Is Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal is the most effective method of hair removal available that can be used almost anywhere on the face and body. Unlike other methods such as waxing and shaving laser hair removal gives long lasting results. The hair will become finer, softer and will slow down more and more with each subsequent treatment.
How does the procedure work?
During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
How many treatments will I need?
You'll see results after your first appointment, but it'll take several treatments to permanently remove hair. In four to six sessions, spaced about four weeks apart, you'll see 70 to 80 percent reduction in hair growth.
How long do I have to leave between each session?
Treatments are scheduled 4 weeks apart.
What preparation is require before treatment?
A patch test is always needed at least 48 hours before treatment, so please shave the area 24 hours before treatment and avoid any creams, lotions and perfumes. Sunbathing and Sunbeds should be avoided at least 4 weeks before treatment.
How is the treatment carried out?
Protective eye glasses are provided and the skin will be cleaned, the laser head is then passed over the skin releasing quick pulses of light.
